Looking for all the ways to make your skin glow? Here are some of the best tips from experts that will help you achieve a full glow on your body and face. Find out how to get glowy skin in seven easy steps below.
1. Do Your Own Skincare Routine
Skincare routines vary from person to person. But most people do their own skincare routine at least twice a day, at least three times a week. The key to good skincare is self-awareness and understanding what you want to achieve before getting started. You may need a different type of product each time.
Also, you might want to avoid chemical peeling or have a natural look with ingredients that help balance the skin. You can ask an expert at home about ingredients to work best on your complexion. A good place to start would be to use something like the Neutrogena Creamy Cleanser. This cleanses thoroughly without stripping away the moisture and hydration from the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid to keep the skin moisturized. Neutrogena has been scientifically proven to leave the skin feeling rejuvenated.
2. Work With Your Nourishing Diet Plan
There are 3 kinds of bodies: inside, and outside. The inside body has good fat and muscle and lean tissue. When it comes to the exterior you have fat and muscle but also have good fats, which help prevent heart disease. But it’s important to know that eating too much can lead to weight gain, so check your weight before you change up your diet, especially if you’re trying to shed excess pounds. Some of my favorite foods would be salmon and flax seeds, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and olive oil. Look for recipes that don’t involve butter, milk, eggs, sugar, or cheese!
3. Watch What You Eat And Drink During The Day
There are dozens of nutrition facts from the FDA to support your decision when choosing nutrients. I personally recommend buying organic food, and seafood, and drinking more water whenever possible. If you really want to add these products into your daily lives I suggest adding them right before bed. They may not have time to be absorbed by the skin during night time. Plus they will give you energy and can help improve mood and sleep.
For the gut and liver, some anti-inflammatory herbs and spices such as turmeric, rosemary, garlic, thyme, oregano, and cayenne pepper are great. My go-to herb and spice are oregano, paprika, black pepper, clove garlic from Africa, and caraway seeds because they are good for digestion, anti-inflammatory, and have antioxidant properties.
4. Avoid High Polluting Foods At All Times
Saturated fats are bad, and trans fats are even worse. Trans fats cause inflammation and cholesterol build-up, and your body gets rid of those unwanted calories when it produces more insulin. Even though these foods are considered unhealthy now they are not harmful to you right away so make sure you eat them only in moderation.
Foods like salmon, tuna fish, avocado, olives, walnuts, pistachios, almonds, and raspberries are all high in vitamin C and minerals, making them an excellent addition to your meals.
5. Be Aware Of Your Fingertips And Gums Are Important Too
You don’t have to have gums or fingernails to be glamorous. Just look around your social media pages (or even Pinterest) for images of beautiful women with healthy nails and gums. There are lots of ideas on Instagram to achieve this, and you can try using some of these techniques. Check out the amazing stories of how we achieved such good looks from our friends who are bloggers and influencers, it’s extremely rewarding.
Most great ideas for keeping your nails clean are homemade or simply buy natural nail lacquer that doesn’t contain Vicks-and-Bros, which strips dry and makes your nails smoother and stronger.
6. Use Essential Oils That Have Anti-Aging Properties
I always tell my clients I am one of the leading herbalists in America. And I actually believe that essential oils have incredible healing potential but also help brighten the day. From candles like beeswax, frankincense, orange peel, and eucalyptus to coconut oil, rosemary, bergamot, and valentine the list goes on.
These oils have no harshness to your sensitive skin. You can use these oils all over your body. Apply them directly onto your skin and say “I feel gorgeous”. Remember, essential oils don’t stain clothing or anything else, if you wash your clothes using just hot washing you will have a nice smell that reminds me of being in Venice.
If you keep this in mind when shopping the next time you go shopping you should find one that smells fantastic and smells kind of sexy.
7. Sleep Well Because Our Brain Lacks Energy
There are tons of things we can do to fight fatigue, but it takes us all a while for the brain to re-energize. Our sleep cycles depend on our nervous system. We wake up every morning from a deep slumber to take a trip down memory lane, but after waking up we often struggle to function. Don’t make the same mistake we make with food.
Take a day after the lunch break and eat fresh vegetables and fruit and then take 10 hours of sleep. Keep a journal. Journaling helps keep track of your sleep and can sometimes predict when you’ll fall asleep. Journaling also teaches me how to relax and read, write, meditate, pray, do yoga, try new activities, and listen to music.
Keeping a journal can help you learn how to unwind by writing down whatever comes to mind and finding hope during difficult moments. You won’t know if this works for everyone, but it definitely can be helpful.
